People over the age of 45 still make up the majority of casino gamblers, according to Harrah's Entertainment, but tribes in Arizona are trying to lure a younger crowd.
That means installing games with themes familiar to younger people, bringing in younger entertainers and boosting card games like poker and blackjack, which are more popular with younger crowds.
"We want to get them to be loyal customers and lure them in for a lifetime," Wendell Long, a casino executive for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, told The Arizona Republic.
The Harrah's study said the median age of the American gambler is 46.
