Communities seek share of Pokagon casino cash

printer friendly
Communities in Berrien County, Michigan, appear to have resolved their dispute over their share of gaming revenues from the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.

The tribe agreed to share two percent of revenues from the Four Winds Casino with local communities. An estimated $5.7 million this year alone is at stake.

The tribe has been holding on to the money in an interest bearing account while the communities came up an agreement on how to share the funds.
