The Snoqualmie Tribe of Washington opened the doors to its $375 million casino on Thursday night.
The 170,000 square-foot Snoqualmie Casino features 1,700 gaming machines, table games and a poker room. The tribe created 1,300 jobs at the facility, which is about 30 minutes from downtown Seattle.
The 11,000 square-foot ballroom opens tonight with a concert by Jessica Simpson. There's also a cigar bar, a martini and wine bar, a restaurant, a buffet, a deli, a sushi and noodle bar and a lounge at the casino.
The tribe started work on the project after gaining federal recognition in 1999. The tribe went through the land-into-trust process to acquire the gaming site.
