Key lawmakers say they are close to a Class III gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The deal would authorize blackjack and card games for the tribe. But it would also expand non-Indian gaming at some facilities, The Tallahassee Democrat reported. The tribe has insisted on exclusivity for slot machines except in two counties were voters approved them at non-Indian facilities. Still, the tribe has agreed to share revenues with the state under the agreement.
