Georgia lawmaker wants state to consider casino with tribe

A lawmaker in Georgia is urging the state to negotiate a tribal casino deal.

Rep. Rusty Kidd (I) doesn't say which tribe is interested in coming to Georgia. But he says a casino could stimulate the economy in a region of the state that's about 70 miles from Atlanta, the capital and most populous city.

“We hope to lure some jobs and tourism down this way," Kidd told The Eatonton Messenger.
