Canada has spent more on lawyers than abuse victims

The Canadian government has spent more money on lawyers than on settlements for Natives who suffered physical, sexual and other abuse at boarding schools, CBC News reports.
CBC obtained documents through the Access to Information Act. They showed that the government has spent more than $200 million over the past three years managing tens of thousands of abuse cases.
Of that amount, nearly one-third went to government lawyers and their staff. Only $38 million has actually gone to abuse victims.
