"Those footsteps Sen. Tom Daschle is hearing are from his own record catching up with him.

For the first time since he was elected to Congress in 1978, Daschle is facing a candidate who is using his own words and voting record against him. Former Congressman John Thune is doing such a good job of defining - accurately - who Tom Daschle really is, we'll leave that to him.

We like John Thune and we believe voters should elect him as their next U.S. senator. Here's why:

Native Americans: Thune supports improving health care and educational opportunities for American Indians."
