Most students at BIA school said to be depressed

Many students at a Bureau of Indian Affairs school in New Mexico are suffering from depression, says a counselor who was called in after a student committed suicide in a dorm.
Counselor Gordon Nielson says students at Navajo Prep are overwhelmed by the demands of the school. He says the students are at a higher risk for suicide due to the pressure they face.
Students were sent home after the suicide of a 17-year-old male last week. They were due to return to class on Monday.
The school is located in Farmington, New Mexico. It is part of the BIA system.
