Hog-doggers' on Seminole Reservation acquitted
A jury in Florida acquitted two men accused of staging "hog-dog" fights on the Seminole Reservation in Florida, the men's lawyer said on Wednesday.
Arthur Parker and Don Matthews were charged with animal cruelty for arranging fights between dogs and wild boards. The event allegedly took place at the home of a Seminole tribal member.
According to lawyer Travis Trueblood, a jury in Glades County deliberated for nearly an hour before acquitting Parker and Matthews. Trueblood is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma whose firm is located in Florida.
