BIA to relocate office in Juneau to Anchorage

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is closing its office in Juneau and moving the staff to Anchorage.

BIA regional director Niles Cesar said the move will cut costs. And it will make it easier for tribes to access the office since the trip to Anchorage isn't as far as the one to Juneau.

The 24 employees are slated to move by September 30. They will join the 130 employees already in Anchorage.
