Whale caught in Muckleshoot Tribe's fishing net

A gray whale freed itself on Thursday after getting caught in a fishing net owned by the Muckleshoot Tribe of Washington.

Tribal fisherman saw the whale and thought it was dead. As they were going to cut the net to free the whale, it started moving.

The whale was able to swim away but may have fishing gear still attached to its body. A spokesperson for the National Marine Fisheries Service. said the agency hasn't been able to find the whale.
