Fires strike southern California reservations

At least four tribes in southern California have been hit by fires that are believed to have caused more than $1 billion in damage.

The Poomacha Fire started on the La Jolla Reservation early Tuesday morning. By the end of the day, it burned more than 7,000 acres and also hit the nearby Rincon Reservation and San Pasqual Reservation. Both tribes closed their casinos.

The Witch Creek Fire burned part of the Barona Reservation and residents were using the casino as a shelter. Other casinos on the Pauma Reservation and the Santa Ysabel Reservation.
