Oneida Nation dedicates monument to veterans

The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin dedicated its veterans memorial on Saturday.

The $235,000 monument has been in the planning for about 15 years. It was designed by Chris Cornelius, a tribal member, and lists each war in which Oneida soldiers took part and their accomplishments.

"I feel good because I'm part of it," Wendell McLester, a Korean War veteran, told The Green Bay Press-Gazette.
