Cherokee Nation to dedicate $17M health clinic

The Cherokee Nation is dedicating a $17 million health clinic in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

The 105,000-square-foot Three Rivers Health Center will offer general medical, laboratory, X-ray, dental and optometry services. It replaces a much smaller and older facility.

The tribe financed the clinic with $17 million in bonds. The Indian Health Service will fund staffing and equipment costs, estimated at $17 million a year.
