Senate to resume debate on IHCIA next week

The Senate will resume debate on S.1200, the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, on Monday, February 25.
Debate began on January 22 with the hope of passage at that time. Due to other legislative priorities, the bill was delayed.
Debate resumed on February 13 and February 14. Senators offered amendments, some of which were adopted, some were rejected and others were withdrawn.
Staring at 5:30pm next Monday, a series of votes will take place on the bill, according to the National Indian Health Board. Some remaining amendments will be debated before a final vote.
