Sorority suspended for 'Indian' costume party

The Gamma Phi Beta sorority suspended its University of North Dakota chapter after members held a party in which students dressed up as "Indians."

The suspension is temporary, pending an investigation by the UND Dean of Student’s Office. But the sorority apologized for the party, which was held last November.

Indian students at UND found out about the party and have lodged a discrimination complaint. Margaret Scott, a junior, created a slideshow of images but it has since been taken down by photobucket.com.
