Tonkawa Tribe ousts chairman after drug arrest

Members of the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma ousted chairman Anthony Street, who faces drug charges in state court.

Street, 43, is accused of selling drugs out of a motel room in Blackwell. He is charged with one count of possession of a controlled, dangerous substance. He is due in court today.

Tribal members petitioned for a new election. They chose Don Patterson as chairman and elected James Schreen as vice chairman over incumbent Gordon Warrior..Dawena Pappan was re-elected secretary-treasurer.
