Pascua Yaqui Tribe to fund diabetes program

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona will spent $205,000 to continue a diabetes management program.

The program started in 2004 and has served over 1,000 tribal members. . It has led to a significant drop in nerve, eye and kidney damage among patients, Fox 11 News reported.

The program is run by the El Rio Community Health Center in Tucson.
