The
Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho is investigating an alleged sexual assault of a child on the reservation.
The tribe wouldn't comment in detail about the alleged crime. But tribal police are on the lookout for a felon who has been previously convicted of sexually assaulting a child.
Roger E. Benson, 29, walked away from a halfway house in Washington in March. He is described as American Indian or Alaskan Native, five-foot-nine, and 200 pounds with brown eyes.
