Studies show discrimination of Natives in Canada

Two reports from Canada cite high rates of discrimination against Native people and of gay Native men.
According to the
Saskatchewan Anti-Racism Network, Native people in Saskatchewan are more than twice as likely as the general population to feel they've been mistreated at work.
Native people were more than twice as likely to have felt discrimination outside of work.
Another study at the
British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS found that 8 percent of gay Native men were the victims of violent crime. That was more than twice the rate of 2.3 percent among all gay men in British Columbia.
