Young Native Americans in Montana are attending the first annual First People's Youth Entrepreneurship Camp at the University of Great Falls.

Seventeen students are attending the camp, which focuses on 13- and 14-year-old students. They are lured with promises of college scholarships and are being encouraged to think about their long-term plans. They will meet with Indian business leaders, visit reservations and work on projects affecting their own communities.

The camp is a project of the Rural Dynamics, the Montana Indian Business Alliance and Montana State University-Billings. It is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Montana State Tribal Economic Development Council. UGF is hosting the camp.
