Abramoff set for sentencing in tribal fraud case

Note: Judge Huvelle has reset the hearing for 2pm in Courtroom 24A (in the annex) of the courthouse.
Jailed lobbyist Jack Abramoff will be sentenced tomorrow for defrauding his tribal clients out of millions of dollars
Abramoff is already in prison on bank fraud charges. He is seeking a lighter sentence on the tribal fraud charges and is supported by the
Department of Justice.
Representatives of the
Saginaw
Chippewa Tribe of Michigan and the
Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, two of Abramoff's victims, want to speak at the hearing tomorrow. As of this morning, it wasn't clear whether
Judge Ellen
S. Huvelle would allow them to appear.
The sentencing takes place at 2pm in Courtroom 24A of the
federal courthouse in Washington, D.C.
