Navajo leaders endorse Sen. Obama for president
Navajo Nation leaders in the Shiprock, New Mexico, area have endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) for president.

The Northern Navajo Agency Council voted unanimously to endorse Obama, who met with Navajo, Pueblo, Apache and Ute leaders in New Mexico on September 18.

The council also backed Rep. Tom Udall for U.S. Senate and Ben Ray Lujan for the U.S. House.
