Russell Means fights fishing charge in federal court
Activist/actor Russell Means filed a lawsuit in federal court in response to charges that he fished in South Dakota without a state license.

Means took part in a protest in August. He says the 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie allows Sioux people to fish without state interference.

Means asked a judge for a preliminary injunction to block the state from proceeding with the charges against him.
