A Native woman is suing Clackamas County, Oregon, saying she was fired after suffering through racial and sexual discrimination on the job.

Patricia A. Johnson, whose tribal affiliation was not reported, worked for the county for 30 years. She said she became the victim of racist and sexist jokes and complained about them to superiors.

"You’re not bringing up that Indian thing again, are you," a superior reportedly said, according to Johnson's lawsuit in federal court.

Johnson was fired in November 2007 after she said she tried to reprimand an employee who was making inappropriate racial and sexual comments.
