Rumsey chairman named to NMAI board of trustees
Marshall McKay, the chairman of the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians of California, has been named to the board of trustees for the National Museum of American Indian.

McKay will serve on the board until 2011. He will help oversee the museum's collections, operations and budget and will provide advice to museum staff.

"I believe in its mission to honor Native traditions and encourage contemporary expression, and I look forward to this opportunity to help advance cultural knowledge and appreciation among the thousands of visitors to our nation's Capitol," McKay said in a statement.
