Senate Republicans plan to block DOI nominee
Republicans plan to block a vote on David J. Hayes as deputy secretary of the Interior Department.

Hayes is a former Clinton administration official who said he will make Indian issues a priority. But Republicans who aren't happy with the Obama administration's views on energy development will try to prevent him from moving forward.

The Senate is scheduled to vote on Hayes today.
