Salazar returns Navajo painting removed by Bush
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is again displaying a painting of Navajos that was removed by the Bush administration.

“Navajos Breaking Camp” by Ira Diamond Gerald Cassidy had long been hanging in the Interior Secretary's office in Washington, D.C. It's not clear why it was taken off the wall during the Bush years but Salazar has an explanation.

“Even the walls of this place have been very neglected the last eight years,” Salazar told Politico.Com. “We have lots of great artwork that we may be able to display both at the entrance to the building, as well as along the hallways.”

Salazar, a former U.S. Senator from Colorado, said the last administration fell short in other ways too. “After almost four months in the job, I have concluded that there was the skirting of the law and shortcuts that occurred in many different things and in different ways,” he said. “Shortcuts were taken to try to get to a policy.”
