Puyallup Tribe aids crackdown on illegal fireworks
The Puyallup Tribe is helping the city of Tacoma, Washington, crack down on illegal fireworks.

The tribe used to send undercover officers to tribal fireworks stands to look for illegal items. But tribal members learned to recognize the officers so the Tacoma Police Department will be sending their personnel instead.

Tribal members operate fireworks stands on trust land in Tacoma. They can sell items that are not legal in the city or the state but buyers can only set them off on tribal land.
