Lac du Flambeau Band to hold another primary
The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin will hold another primary election after a candidate filed a complaint.

Mike Christensen, a sitting council member, said a tribal member distributed cards at a polling place that excluded him from the list of candidates. He also said the tribal member was loitering around the polling place.

The tribal election board agreed with Christensen's complaint and scheduled a new primary on September 21. "This may make me a poster child for the opposition, but so be it," Christensen told The Lakeland Times. "I just wanted to see that a fair election was held."

Christensen had enough votes to make it to the general election despite his complaint.
