Army Corps awards $13.5M for tribal hospital
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $13.5 million contract for the construction of a hospital on the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota.

Marion Trucking & Construction will start work on the Elbowoods Memorial Health Center in October. The facility replaces an existing clinic and serves as a replacement hospital for the one the tribe lost to the construction of the Garrison Dam in the 1950s.

Funding for the $17 million project came through an appropriations act.
