The remains of Stephanie Fowler, a member of the Wiyot Tribe of California, have been located, more than two years after she went missing.
Authorities are treating Fowler's death as a homicide .The results of an autopsy are pending.
Fowler was 34 when she went missing in April-May 2007. The mother of six worked for her tribe and was a volunteer at a local hospice.
”She was a fun person to be around and could light up a room with her smile,”
Michelle Vassel, the director of social services for the tribe, told The Eureka Times-Standard.
