Monitor sought at Cheyenne Arapaho election
Some candidates for office with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma say someone needs to monitor a primary election tomorrow.

Amber Bighorse, the lead attorney for the tribal legislature, said some candidates expect ballot tampering and fraud. They asked the Carter Center, the United Nations and the Native American Rights Fund for help though the Carter Center already turned down the request.

"We want transparency,” Bighorse told The Oklahoman. "In all parts of our government, from the courts, the election boards and the executive branch.”
