The National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC) is seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time position as a Research Coordinator.

The research coordinator will identify and direct all major research studies intended to provide pertinent information to promote the advancement of vital housing, community, and economic development programs in Indian Country. The applicant must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Indian housing, tribal and federal housing, and community development programs; issues associated with tribal sovereignty and self-determination; and have a thorough knowledge of the history, culture, and socio-economic factors that impact Native housing and community development in Indian Country.

The research coordinator will issues reports, studies and disseminate information that will help create better conceived housing programs on the part of Congress and the executive branch of the Federal government, which will result in more culturally appropriate, decent, safe, sanitary, and quality affordable housing for Native people who reside on reservations, in Indian communities, in Alaska Native villages on the native Hawaiian Home Lands.
