Program/Deputy Director

The American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES) is seeking to hire a Program/Deputy Director for the Albuquerque, NM based national non-profit headquarters office, www.aises.org. Responsibilities include overall planning, direction and day-to-day management of AISES programs and operations with the goal of significantly increasing the number of Native American scientists and engineers. Position requires seasoned professional with strong background in education, knowledge about education research and it’s application to programming and grant development as well as solid management skills. Individual will have experience in developing new programs, program evaluation and strong report writing skills including grant writing. MA, MS is required. Must be comfortable in leadership roles, making public presentations and possess strong administrative skills. Successful candidates must be able to interact with a variety of audiences including industry experts, students, academia, corporations and government. Frequent travel is required.
