A man from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in prison for kidnapping and assaulting the mother of his child.
Prosecutors said Dale Andrew Roundstone, 41, forced the victim into his car and repeatedly beat her over several hours. She eventually escaped.
Roundstone was convicted last year on the two charges. He was acquitted on a charge of aggravated sexual assault.
