Figure in Abramoff scandal scheduled for another trial in October
former tribal lobbyist Kevin Ring appeared at a Senate Indian Affairs Committee hearing on June 22, 2005. Photo Indianz.Com Kevin Ring, an associate of convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff, will go to trial for a second time this October.

Federal prosecutors say Ring showered gifts on Congressional aides and Bush administration officials to influence them into taking actions to benefit his tribal clients. Jennifer Farley, a former White House official who worked with tribes, was among the recipients, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors also say Ring developed a "corrupt" lobbying scheme whose targets included Sandia Pueblo of New Mexico.

Ring went on trial last October but the judge declared a mistrial after the jury was unable to agree on all of the counts.
