Chairman of Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation won't run again
Marcus Levings, the chairman of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota, has decided not to run for a second term after all.

Levings, a former Bureau of Indian Affairs employee, said in January that he would seek re-election. But he changed his mind this week and said he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Levings was elected in 2006. He had served eight years on the tribal council.
