Joseph LaPorte, the chief of public safety for the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in Michigan, has been named to a new position at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. LaPorte, a member of the Little River Band, will serve as the tribal advisor to the director of the ODNI. His responsibilities include coordinating tribal partnerships with the agency.
