Little River police chief named to tribal post at intelligence agency

Joseph LaPorte, the chief of public safety for the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in Michigan, has been named to a new position at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

LaPorte, a member of the Little River Band, will serve as the tribal advisor to the director of the ODNI. His responsibilities include coordinating tribal partnerships with the agency.

LaPorte will be based in Washington, D.C.
