Jicarilla Apache family thanks officer who saved young girl's life
A family from the Jicarilla Apache Nation of New Mexico credits a police officer with saving a young girl's life.

Eloisa Lucero, 7, and her mother were on their way home to the reservation after a hospital visit. Eloisa began vomiting and passed out in the car.

Cristy Lucero rushed back to the hospital when she saw Farmington Officer Jared Stock. He administered the Heimlich maneuver on Eloisa and she was able to make it back to the hospital.

“He’s our angel, he saved my baby,” Cristy said of Stock, KRQE-TV reported.

The Lucero family gave Stock a blanket with the Jicarilla Apache seal on it.
