Native artists in New Mexico raising money for Japanese relief

Three Native artists in New Mexico will be launching a new website, Native American Artists for Japan, to raise money for relief efforts in Japan.

Darryl Dean Begay, Lyndon Tsosie and Raymond Yazzie will be asking other Native artists to donate works to be auctioned on eBay. The money will be used for earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.

"It was very heartbreaking to see," Daryl Dean Begay told The Santa Fe New Mexican. "We want to help. They're our friends, all of us in the Native American art world have Japanese collectors."
