Saginaw Chippewa Tribe turns to wind to generate power

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan is building a wind turbine on the reservation.

The 199-foot tall turbine will generate between 300,000-500,000 KW per year, Central Michigan Life reported. The tribe expects to save between $30,000 and $50,000 in energy costs.

Construction is expected to be complete this summer.
