Witness List: House subcommittee hearing on Indian land bill





The House Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs will hold a hearing tomorrow on H.R.3532, the American Indian Empowerment Act.

The bill allows tribes to change the status of their trust lands to restricted fee in hopes of spurring development. The Interior Department must approve the request within 180 days.

The hearing place at 2pm in Room 1324 of the Longworth House Office Building. The witness list follows:
