Former president of Tonkawa Tribe sentenced to prison for theft

Anthony E., Street, a former president of the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma, was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for theft.
Street, 48, admitted that he and two other tribal leaders wrote themselves checks from the tribe's general fund. The amount came to over $500,000, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Western Oklahoma said in a press release.
Street was ordered to pay $794,000 in restitution.
