Negotiations ongoing in tribal water rights lawsuit in Oklahoma

Negotiations continue in a water rights lawsuit in Oklahoma.
The Choctaw Nation and the
Chickasaw Nation say they were promised water in southeastern Oklahoma by their treaties.
They sued the state nearly two years ago but settlement talks have been ongoing.
The federal judge handling the case granted another 90-day stay, The Ada News reported.
The tribe and the state are negotiating without a mediator, the paper said.
