The Navajo Nation is nearly done with a $46 million broadband project.

The tribe is improving Internet and cell phone service throughout the reservation. The project will bring better service to more than 30,000 households and 1,000 businesses.

Work began three years ago with a $32.2 million grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority added $11.3 million to the project and Commnet Wireless contributed $2.2 million.
