The theft trial of Tracey I. Avila, the chairwoman of the Robinson Rancheria Pomo Indians of California, has been delayed yet again.

Jury selection was due to start tomorrow. But Avila's attorneys asked and received a delay, the fourth one in the case.

Avila, 51, is accused of stealing more than $60,000 from the Elem Pomo Tribe. She used to be the tribe's fiscal officer.

Avila has remained in office despite the charge and even after she lost her re-election bid in 2008. The Bureau of Indian Affairs told her to schedule a new election back in September 2011.
