Health executive for Chippewa Cree Tribe indicted over theft





Fawn Tadios, Chippewa Cree Tribe A health executive for the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana was indicted on theft charges.

Fawn Hahn Tadios, the chief executive officer of the tribal health board, is accused of stealing more than $50,000. She allegedly used tribal funds to visit her husband while he serving a federal prison term for stealing from the tribe.

Tadios was arraigned in federal court on Tuesday, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Montana said in a press release> She was released on special conditions.

Tadios has a restraining order against former chairman Ken Blatt St. Marks though an appeal is pending. St. Marks said he was forced from office because he has encouraged federal agencies to investigate corruption on the Rocky Boy's Reservation.

Including Tadios, six people have been indicted this year for stealing from the tribe.
