Korina Emmerich made it through another week on Project Runway on Thursday, winning some praise for her Native-inspired look.

Emmerich, a member of the Puyallup Tribe of Washington, nearly won the challenge by using unconventional materials to create a short, fringed dress. She said she was motivated by designs from her Native heritage.

"A lot of my designs are inspired by my background," Emmerich said on the show. "So it's kind of ingrained in my visual memory of growing up in the powwow circuit."

Emmerich will return to the screen next week. Project Runway airs Thursdays on Lifetime at 9/8 Central.
