Suquamish Tribe reports results of election for council members

The Suquamish Tribe of Washington held an election for three council seats on Sunday.

Rich Purser and Sammy Mabe were newly elected to the council. Luther "Jay" Mills won his bid for re-election.

The council has seven members -- four officers and three at-large seats. No officer positions were on the ballot, The North Kitsap Herald reported.
